John H. Almond is Senior Vice President of Allen & Hoshall, a regional engineering-architecture firm founded in 1915. The firm has offices in Mississippi, Alabama and Tennessee. Almond is a professional engineer licensed in Mississippi and several other states. He has been active in several professional and community organizations. He is a member of Canton Rotary Club. The offices that he has held include President of local and state chapters of the American Society of Civil Engineers, American Water Works Association, Water Pollution Control Federation and Mississippi Energy Conservation Society. He has served on the Board of Directors of the Metro Jackson Chamber of Commerce, Canton Chamber of Commerce, Madison County Business League, Madison County Foundation and Madison County Economic Development Authority. He is a graduate of Mississippi State University where he has been recognized as a Distinguished Engineer Graduate. John Almond and his wife Butch live on Stokes Road in Madison County. They are the parents of three adult daughters, and they have three grandchildren.
