Dwight J. Luckett, Sr. was born and grew up in Northeast Madison County, Mississippi. He has earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from St. Edwards University, Austin, TX in 1980, a Masters in Educational Leadership degree and a Specialist degree in Educational Supervision and Administration. He has served as an assistant teacher, teacher, athletic coach, assistant principal, principal, assistant superintendent, and superintendent.
