Jim Richmond

Director

Jim currently serves as Vice President, Corporate Communications and Marketing Operations for C Spire a leading technology company in the Southeast United States based in Ridgeland, Mississippi. C Spire provides broadband connectivity, managed and cloud services and wireless and has business customers in forty-seven states. Richmond began his career with C Spire (then Cellular South) in 1991 and has served in numerous management roles for thirty-three years.

These roles include: Developing Southwest Mississippi in the early days of wireless, Serving as regional manager for the Mississippi Gulf Coast and Pine Belt, regions of the state, Serving as Director of Retail, Serving as Director of Business and Government Sales, Serving as Vice President of Marketing. Richmond also serves on the C Spire Foundation Board of Directors and the C Spire ESOP Committee.

In Richmond’s current role he has responsibility for public relations, media relations, sports marketing, internal branding and communications and marketing projects, planning and budgeting. Richmond has been instrumental in driving success with C Spire’s Tech Movement focus on computer science, coding and moving the region forward via technology.

Over Richmond’s thirty-three-year career with C Spire he has served on numerous Chamber of Commerce boards in various regions of Mississippi. He has also served on the Board of Directors for Extra Table, the Mississippi Council on Economic Education, and the Mississippi Gulf Resort Classic. Richmond also serves as Manager of the Travis Bridge Farm, LLC and Managing Partner of the Richmond Tree Farm, LLC. He earned a bachelor’s degree in banking and finance from Mississippi State University in 1985 and is a member of Madison Methodist Church.

His wife of thirty-seven years, Jennifer, recently retired from Madison Central High School and is an Ole Miss graduate. His son, Miller, is an Otolaryngology Medical School Resident at Georgetown. He also holds a bachelor’s degree from Ole Miss and a Master of Public Health degree from Harvard. He and his wife Alex reside with daughter Margaret in Washington, D.C. His daughter, Marion, resides in Madison and serves as Ministry Operations Manager at Joni and Friends. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Mississippi State University and a Master of Education degree from William Carey
