Katie Bryant Snell

Katie is a founding member of Bryant Songy Snell Global Partners. She focuses on connecting clients with opportunities for growth, provides strategic advice to better position clients in the marketplace, and helps navigate clients facing governmental and regulatory challenges.
Katie previously served as the Board Attorney for Madison County, one of the largest and fastest-growing counties in the State of Mississippi. In addition to representing the county’s legal interest, Katie also drafted legislation and successfully directed advocacy efforts to address key county concerns including, among other things, an increase in fire millage, expanding county control of fire districts, and reforming ambulance regulations. As Board Attorney, Katie helped identify funding opportunities and worked with supervisors to access funds for community projects. Katie also played an integral role in positioning the county to receive funds for large-scale infrastructure projects and represented the county in its application to the USDOT for BUILD Transportation grant funding.

In addition to Madison County, Katie has represented many other counties and municipalities throughout the State of Mississippi. She has advised mayors and city councils on infrastructure solutions and assisted them in generating community support for those efforts. In addition to her public sector experience, Katie also continues to represent leaders in a variety of industries from retail to capital investment to disaster recovery. In 2019 and 2020, Katie received the Silver Client Champion award from Martindale-Hubbell recognizing her commitment to delivering excellent client service. Prior to opening her own law firm in 2016, Katie worked for one of the largest firms in the Southeast, specializing in products liability and civil rights defense. She successfully defended some of the top industry leaders in the United States.

Following her civil rights work, Katie has advocated for prison reform, participating in discussions from California to Washington, D.C.
Katie graduated from the University of Mississippi Law School with honors. She has served as a member of the Board of Directors for Ballet Mississippi, the Children’s Advocacy Centers of Mississippi, and the Southern Miss Central Mississippi Alumni Association. Katie is also a member of the Moss Point Mayor’s Advisory Council. Katie has been selected for Leadership Mississippi and named a Super Lawyers Mid-South Rising Star from 2016-2020. The Mississippi Business Journal recognized Katie as one of Mississippi’s Top 50 Business Women in 2016. Katie is AV-rated with Martindale-Hubbell. She currently lives in Madison County and is married to Stephen Snell. They attend Madison Heights Church with their three children, Henry, Eliza, and Phillip.
