Samantha Barnett Lofton


Samantha Barnett Lofton has been in management at Barnett’s Body Shop in Ridgeland for over thirty years. Samantha graduated from the University of Mississippi in 1986. After graduating Samantha began working for her family owned business that her parents established in 1968. This year, Barnett’s Body Shop is celebrating their 50th year in the Auto Body Repair business. Currently, they have four locations. A fifth location, in Madison County, will open by year end. Samantha also assists in the operation of Barnett’s Towing that has a fleet of nineteen wreckers.

Samantha is an active supporter and member of the Madison County Business League, the Ridgeland Chamber of Commerce, the Madison County Chamber of Commerce, and the City of Madison Chamber. She is active in the Go Red for Women organization and the Cycle of Kids organization. She was a charter member of the Madison County Junior Auxiliary and the Junior League of Jackson. Barnett’s Body Shop are strong supporters of the Ridgeland and Madison Police and Fire Departments. They donated to numerous special projects, providing tasers, tourniquets, and special diving equipment to the Departments last year.

In 2016, the City of Ridgeland named Barnett’s Body Shop their Business of the Year. Also in 2016, the City of Ridgeland and the City of Ridgeland Chamber of Commerce awarded Samantha the City Maker award “for years of dedication in building the City of Ridgeland and for making Ridgeland a premiere community in Madison County.” In 2012, the Mississippi Business Journal named Samantha as one of Mississippi’s 50 Leading Business Women and in 2002, Akzo Nobel named her the Most Influential Woman in the Collision Repair Industry.
