The North Madison County Excel by 5 Coalition will host a Back-to-School and Health Fair on August 1, 2015, from 9:00 – 11:00 am at St. Paul AME Zion Church
located at 505 South Union Street, Canton, MS 39046.
This annual event brings community awareness of the importance of early childhood education and kindergarten preparedness to parents and children of Canton
and North Madison County. Excel by 5 emphasizes the important roles parents and early childhood educators play in the lives of children during their most formative years – birth to age five.
The North Madison County Excel by 5 Coalition will offer free book bags and school supplies to preschool and kindergarten age children at this event in order to help them succeed from the beginning of their first days of school. In order to receive these complimentary items, parents must be present with their children. The
free book bags and school supplies are only available while supplies last. Booths with available information about the Excel by 5 program and tips
to help parents and children better succeed in the earliest years of their education will be exhibited by numerous community services:
