The Madison County Business League and the Madison County Economic
Development Authority hosted the 2013 VISION Celebration luncheon a the
Country Club of Jackson on November 14, 2013. 380 members, elected
officials, guests and community partners attended. Special guest speaker
was Joe Sanderson, CEO and Chairman of the Board of Sanderson Farms. Miss
Mississippi Chelsea Rick sang the National Anthem and God Bless America. The
colors were presented by the US Army National Guard 112th Battalion from
Canton and Madison Mayor Mary Hawkins Butler offered the invocation. The
2013 VISION Award was presented by MCEDA Executive Director Tim Coursey to
BankPlus. Madison County President Donna Sims accepted the award for
BankPlus. The 2013 VISIONARY Leadership Award was presented by Terrell
Knight, VP Government & Economic Development for C Spire, to Joel Bomgar,
CEO and Founder of Bomgar Corporation. MCBL Chairman of the Board Sherry
Chance recapped Business League highlights from the past year. Commissioner
of Agriculture and Commerce Cindy Hyde-Smith introduced Mr. Sanderson.
Governor Phil Bryant closed out the program with a salute to Mr. Sanderson
and Sanderson Farms for their continued sponsorship of the PGA tournament at
Annandale.
Music was provided by the Raphael Semmes Jazz Ensemble. Flower arrangements
