Welcome
to July! If you are like us, it is hard to believe that half the year has passed. A number of new laws that the Mississippi Legislature passed during
the 2017 Regular and Special Sessions take effect today. I worked hard to get several priorities enacted into law this year, including:
- Campaign finance reforms
- Increased government transparency
- Reduced government regulations
- More accountability in government contracting
