The mission of the Madison County Executive Leadership program is to provide MCBL&F members with a deeper understanding of the opportunities in Madison County in an environment that enhances their leadership skills and prepares graduates to take their knowledge and their experience into the community for the betterment of Madison County as a whole.
MCEL welcomes applicants who are members of the Madison County Business League & Foundation and corporate-level leaders and emerging executive leaders who are interested in learning more in-depth knowledge about opportunities in Madison County and the challenges that impact our community such as infrastructure, education, healthcare, law enforcement, government affairs and quality of life on our economy; therefore, gaining knowledge and experience. In addition to making strong connections with the other classmates, they will meet influential business leaders and elected officials enabling them to develop a strong network of contacts.
The goal is to develop and maintain a network committed to improving the quality of life in our county. Ideal candidates are those who are enthusiastic about the success of their community and state. MCEL is an annual program of the MCBL&F and MCEDA. Class participants are selected by a group of anonymous judges who review each qualifying applicant in order to assemble individuals representing different types of businesses and industries.
