Expanding Services for our Criminal Justice Partners

Over the past several weeks, as a result of the State’s efforts to slow the spread of COVID-19, our training division has had to cancel many of its training
sessions for prosecutors, law enforcement officers, and other partners in the criminal justice system. But, they have used this time to develop online
training options. Even as we begin to reestablish an in-person training schedule, as our State begins to gradually re-open, we plan to offer these
new training options side-by-side with our in-person programming.

Recently Cammie Wyatt, Director of my Law Enforcement and Prosecutor Training Division, and I sat down to provide an update on these new options. Click
on the box below to watch the full video.

Criminal Investigator named Attorney General’s Office “TOP COP”

Last week, our own Larry Ware was presented with a “TOP COP” award, which is given to the top law enforcement officers at the federal, state, and local
levels.

Larry (left) serves as a criminal investigator in our Public Integrity Division and has worked at the Attorney General’s office for 11 years. This is Larry’s
second “TOP COP” award, and I congratulate him on the well-deserved recognition.

Supporting Type-1 Diabetes Research

As the mother of a Type 1 Diabetic, I know how important it is to advance research on cures and treatments and support families of people with diabetes.
As a member of the Board of Directors for the Mississippi Chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF), I have the opportunity to work
toward these goals.

Now, you can help, too, by purchasing one of our State’s new specialty car tags. $24 from every tag sold is donated back to the work of JDRF-MS. I have
already ordered mine! For more information, visit JDRF’s website.
