RESOLUTION
OF
MADISON COUNTY BUSINESS LEAGUE
SUPPORTING THE CREATION OF EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES AND
CAPITAL INVESTMENT IN THE HEALTH SERVICES SECTOR THROUGHOUT
MADISON COUNTY
WHEREAS, Madison County is one of the state’s fastest growing counties in Mississippi; and
WHEREAS, the exceptional growth rate of Madison County and the influx of new residents over the past decade is primarily attributable to the County’s excellent and ever-improving business climate, and its high quality of life; and
WHEREAS, the mission of the Madison County Business League (MCBL) is to bring together, under one organization, the voice of numerous entities in order to establish a clear and concise message for the future. This organization, which is comprised of elected, appointed, business, and individual leaders of Madison County, enables all partners in business and economic development to participate collectively in bringing together the overall vision for Madison County; and
WHEREAS, the mission of the MCBL helps to improve the business climate in the County and to further advance the high quality of life demanded by the residents of Madison County; and
WHEREAS, jobs in the health services sector are the type of higher paying sustainable jobs of the future which the MCBL seeks to support and attract to Madison County; and
WHEREAS, capital investments in the health services sector throughout Madison County serve to diversify the local economy; and
WHEREAS, these aforementioned facts support the mission of the MCBL
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT, we the Board of Directors for the Madison County Business League, in performance of our mission, support all efforts to attract and sustain existing or new health services jobs and capital investments throughout Madison County; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution shall become a part of the minutes of the meeting of the Board of Directors for the Madison County Business League.
