Entrepreneurship Committee Luncheon

Brad McMullanThe Madison County Business League Entrepreneurship Committee will host a luncheon meeting on Wednesday, July 16th from 11:45 – 1:00 at C Spire in the first floor conference room. PLEASE RSVP no later than Monday, July 14th.

Outstanding speaker Brad McMullan, bfac.com, will inspire members with the importance of mentoring and “paying it forward.” The purpose of this meeting is to also present plans for the organization of a Madison County SWAT Team! Chairman Joe Donovan, Millsaps – Else School of Management, has developed an idea to train professional volunteers (MCBL members) to mentor entrepreneurs. Tony Jeff and Sumesh Arora, Innovate Mississippi, will share details of a 2 ½ to 3 hour training program called Venture Development Academy. This group would include, but not be limited to, attorneys, banking & finance, CPAs, insurance, marketing, and other needed professionals. This pool of trained entrepreneur mentors and coaches would then be called upon to mentor/coach during “startup” weekends and individual sessions (via phone, email) in other locations throughout the state such as Oxford, Hattiesburg, etc. on an as needed basis.

This is an exciting opportunity if you (or another member of your company) have a passion to mentor/coach and share your expertise with others (and possibly develop clients or customers in the process). Please make plans to join us. You have to eat lunch!
