Madison County Business League & Foundation Announces Madison County 2026 Legislative Agenda

The Madison County Board of Supervisors passed a resolution supporting the Madison County Business League & Foundation (MCBL&F) 2026 state legislative agenda. Prior to presentation at the board of supervisors’ meeting, these priorities were adopted by the MCEDA Board of Directors and the MCBL&F Board of Directors.

A special thank you to the MCBL&F Government Affairs Committee, MCBL&F Executive Leadership, and Government Affairs Committee Chair Phil Buffington for their leadership and assistance in this annual process. We are also grateful to our supportive investors and members!

Weisenberger Road Improvement Project will widen Weisenberger Road from the current two lanes to five lanes from its intersection with Parkway East to Highway 51 to add much needed traffic capacity via four through lanes and a center turn lane as shown in Exhibit A.

The widening of Gluckstadt Road to a four-lane road from Planters Row to just beyond Calhoun Station Parkway. See Exhibit B below.

The Commerce Park Connector Road is a road that would run along the north side of I-220 from Highland Colony Parkway to New Pointe Drive in Ridgeland. See Exhibit C below.
