The Madison County Business League & Foundation Youth Leadership (MCYL) program recognizes some of the best and brightest high school juniors in our community. Each year, one outstanding junior from each participating public, private and parochial high school in Madison County, along with Jackson Academy and Jackson Prep, is selected by their school administration to represent their school in the program.
Through hands-on experiences, students are introduced to leading businesses, elected officials, community leaders and career opportunities while gaining a deeper understanding of all that Madison County has to offer.
The program develops leadership skills, broadens students’ knowledge of their community and inspires the next generation of leaders to use their talents for the betterment of Madison County.
Watch MCBL&F Executive Director Jan Collins and Dr. Bronwyn Martin, Vice President of Holmes Community College and Chair of the MCYL Steering Committee, discuss the Youth Leadership program on WLBT’s Today at 11 and share more about the experiences and opportunities it provides for students.
