MCEDA has also been helping to manage over the past year the new Nissan Integrated Logistics Center (ILC) under construction in Canton, MS. The state-of-the-art logistics facility is located on Nissan Parkway just across from the main Nissan campus. The building itself will have 1.5 million square feet of space under roof.

Tim has been an economic development professional for 26 years and been the executive director of three different economic development organizations. His first job out of graduate school in 1989 was with the Lamar County Economic Development District (LCEDD). He commented on those days that “I had a desk and a phone, a tiny little budget, and a nice 200 acre clear-cut tract of land we called an “industrial park” so we were in business!” Tim holds a Certified Economic Developer designation from IEDC and grew up in Biloxi, Miss.
