The Madison County Business League & Foundation Health & Well-Being Committee hosted a forum on Thursday, June 2, 2022.
An outstanding panel of professionals discussed the Mississippi Medical Cannabis Act which was passed by the legislature during the 2022 session. The panelists included Rep. Lee Yancey, District 74; Phyllis Johnson, Executive Director of the MS Board of Nursing; Kris Jones, Director of the MS Medical Cannabis Program, Slates Veazy, Partner at Bradey Arant Boult & Cummings. Gerard Gibert, member of MCEDA and MCBL&F Board of Directors served as the moderator.
The panel provided technical, educational information about the legislation, rules, and regulations and how the Medical Cannabis Act may impact your business, including the areas of employment and zoning.
