When C Spire wanted to provide a pioneering learning experience for its
high-level team members, it turned to the Else School of Management at Millsaps College.
“From the first conversation we had about training, the Else School at Millsaps listened to the intent of our request and embraced the uniqueness of our
company,” said Liz Williamson, manager of training and development at C Spire, “C Spire is about innovation, progression, and results, and that carries
over into how we’re starting to think about the way we train our leaders.”
Else School of Management would not be the same without LeAnne Brewer, director of Executive Education. Along with professors in the Else school, LeAnne
Brewer provided the experience that C Spire was seeking.
Executive Education offers customized professional development tailored to meet the needs of the business as well as open enrollment for general business
training sessions. Program areas include leadership development, budgeting, and forecasting for non-finance managers, strategic management, managerial
decision-making, and employment law. The Else School also provides training in strategic planning, managing and motivating different generations in
the workplace, leading change, organizational development, and process improvement.
“I can’t imagine working with a group more willing to share the vision we had for this training program than the Else School at Millsaps,” Williamson said,
“At C Spire, we strive to be easy to do business with. The team at Millsaps shares the same mission.”
Millsaps has a reputation for excellence and that describes the training it provided for C Spire, Williamson continued, “By utilizing the College’s Executive
Education program to customize training for us, we’re connecting with high performing C Spire managers with leaders in the business education field.
