| Mississippi families ought to be able to see for themselves exactly how their school stacks up. Not buried in a government PDF. Not gated behind a login. Not filtered through a press release. Just there — free, public, searchable. So we built it. We pulled together every piece of publicly available data on every school in the state and put it into a format ordinary families can actually use. Type in your school. Up it comes. For the first time, you can see: How your local school is really performing. How your child is doing — against other students in their school, their district, the state, and the rest of America. How much your district spends per child — and how that compares with what nearby private schools charge in tuition. That last point is worth pausing on. In a number of Mississippi districts, the per-student spend is higher than what a local private school charges per pupil. That is the sort of fact that, once seen, cannot be unseen. Please do three small things this week: Visit CompareMySchool.com and look up the school nearest you. Share what you find with one parent, grandparent, or pastor you know in Mississippi.
