The following monthly and annual county/municipality economic profiles are available at http://extension.msstate.edu/economic-profiles and can be downloaded free of charge.
- The monthly profiles estimating the impacts that the COVID-19 pandemic has had on sales that are subject to sales tax have been updated for both the
counties and municipalities. These profiles now estimate the impacts for 12 months (March 2020 through February 2021). - The annual Economic Profiles for the counties, congressional districts, Extension districts, and the state have been updated with current data. These
profiles provide an overall view of the local region’s economic situation. - The annual Health Economics Profiles for the counties, congressional districts, Extension districts, and the state have been updated with current data.
These profiles provide an overall view of the impact that the health care industry has on the regional economy. - The annual Poverty Profiles for the counties, congressional districts, Extension districts, and the state have been updated with current data. These
profiles provide information on the state of poverty and relative wealth in the local region. - The annual Retail Profiles for the counties, congressional districts, Extension districts, and the state have been updated using data from the Mississippi
Department of Revenue’s FY2020 Annual Report. These profiles provide an assessment of the local region’s sales that are subject to sales tax as
well as comparisons with peer group counties in the state. - The annual City (Municipality) Retail Sales profiles have been updated using data from the Mississippi Department of Revenue’s FY2020 Annual Report.
These profiles provide a comparison of the local region’s sales subject to sales tax for the 2-digit NAICS categories for FY2018, FY2019, and FY2020. - The annual City (Municipality) Retail Sales Analysis profiles have been updated using data from the Mississippi Department of Revenue’s FY2020 Annual
Report. These profiles provide an analysis of the municipality’s sales for the 2-digit NAICS categories as well as the surplus or leakage that
occurs in each category.
Data for the Veterans Affairs Spending for counties, regions and districts, and the state are not yet available. These profiles should be updated and available
