Nissan and BankPlus awarded $65,000 in grants to teachers in the Madison County and Canton Public School Districts.
Through the grants, Nissan and BankPlus will support 51 different educational initiatives, including a 3D printer, Spanish-language children’s books and touch-screen tablet computers. The annual Nissan education grant program awards up to $1,500 to individual teachers and school administrators to fund projects that annual school budgets cannot. Since the program began in 2007, more than $400,000 has been awarded to the Canton and Madison County Public School Districts.
