Attached are the tax diversions for October. This month begins our new Fiscal Year, and we are already off to a great start.
The County as a whole showed a 13.43% increase in sales tax diversions as compared to October 2020. Part of this increase is contributed to the city of Gluckstadt now receiving tax diversions. Since this is money being given back to Madison County municipalities that we didn’t see before, we are counting it as part of our total growth.
However, if you were to take Gluckstadt figures out of the growth percentage, Madison County had $119,860.41 more in tax revenue diversions, with a calculated growth percentage of 5.18%
