The Reunion Parkway Project connecting Bozeman Road to Parkway East in Madison County, Mississippi has been a legislative priority for Madison County since
2016. Over the last few years, we have been fortunate to receive funds from the State of Mississippi to assist with the project. This project will
benefit Madison County and central Mississippi by helping connect roadways and improving the traffic flow through this developing area of central Mississippi.
This year the Mississippi Legislature (House Bill 1730) approved an additional five million dollars in bond monies to assist Madison County in paying the
cost associated with preconstruction, design, engineering, land acquisition, right of way acquisition, construction and development of the Reunion
Parkway. This is incredible news and a significant step in helping to finalize the funding to complete this vital project. The appropriations from
the Mississippi Legislature for this project now total $13 million dollars.
We want to thank Governor Reeves, Lt. Governor Delbert Hosemann, Speaker Philip Gunn and all of our legislators representing Madison County for helping
approve the funding requests. We are now waiting for a response on Madison County’s Build Grant Request to the United States Department of Transportation.
The leadership of the Madison County Board of Supervisors, Madison County Economic Development Authority, and the Madison County Business League and Foundation
have been working tirelessly to help support the completion of this project. Our hope is that the Reunion Parkway Project will soon be part of the
scenic landscape of Madison County.
