FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

On May 2 St. Andrew’s was notified that we were selected as one of the nation’s top-50 private
day schools in the nation. We came in at number 18, so that makes us one of the nation’s top 20.

You can see the list of schools here: www.thebestschools.org/blog/2013/04/30/50-privateday-schools-united-states

St. Andrew’s was selected on the basis of a wide variety of weighted factors, including overall
academic excellence, Ivy League matriculation rates, innovative curricula, extracurricular
programs, and socioeconomic, ethnic, and geographical diversity. (An explanation of ranking
criteria can be found here.)

This is quite a coup for St. Andrew’s and for Mississippi. We’re one of only two schools in the
Southeast and among only a handful in the South. Also worth noting are the tuitions of the
schools on this list: many of the schools are more than twice the cost of SA. Even adjusted for
cost of living differences in New York City and other large metropolitan areas this highlights
what an incredible educational value we offer for folks in the metro area.
