From the Madison County Herald: Hand-shaking beat out other rumblings for U.S. Sen. Thad Cochran last week.
The senator was in Ridgeland Thursday to speak to a group of movers and shakers at the “Coffee with the Senator” Madison County Business League event at the Butler Snow law firm.
“It’s a good thing to get out of Washington with all that shaking going on,” he quipped.
The nation’s capital was hit with an earthquake last week that registered 5.9 on the Richter scale.
