Mike Crandall

Advisory Board

Michael Crandall is the Canton Community President for Trustmark National Bank, Canton, MS. Mike began his banking career in Madison County in 1982. He earned his BSBA from the University of Southern Mississippi and his MBA from Mississippi College. Mike is a graduate of the ABA Stonier Graduate School of Banking at the University of Delaware, ABA Commercial Lending School and the ABA School of Retail Banking at the University of Oklahoma. Crandall is a 1991 Graduate of the Mississippi Economic Council Leadership Mississippi. Crandall is a past President of the USM Metro Alumni Chapter.

Mike believes it is a responsibility to give back to the community, through time, treasure and talents. He currently serves as the President of the City of Canton Chamber of Commerce and President of the Canton Public Schools Educational Foundation. Past chamber activities include President of the City of Madison Chamber of Commerce and Ambassador for the Madison County Chamber of Commerce. In addition Crandall has served on the board of Our Daily Bread and as a Past President for the Madison Square Center for the Arts. Crandall serves on the Education and the Government Relations Committee with the Madison County Business League and Foundation.

Crandall has been heavily involved in youth activities in Madison County serving as a youth soccer coach for the South Madison County Soccer Organization and youth baseball coach for the Madison Ridgeland Youth league. He served on the PTO board and President of Madison Avenue Upper Elementary and on the St. Joseph Catholic School Advisory Board and as its President. While at St. Joseph Mike was also President of the St. Joe Booster Club. Crandall was also involved as a board member of the Assisi Early Learning Center.

Outside of Madison County, Crandall is involved with the Catholic Charities Advisory Board as chair of the finance committee and is the incoming President of this organization. He also serves as Treasurer for the Mississippi Track Club and can be found most Saturday mornings volunteering for this organization at local charity races.

Mike and his wife, Susan, are Charter members of St. Francis Catholic Church. Crandall has been active in church affairs and served on the Church’s Finance Council, Advisory Council and as Past Grand Knight for the St, Francis Knights of Columbus Council. He has served as a minister of Hospitality and is currently a Eucharistic minister. In 2016 he was awarded the Bishop Joseph Chanche Medal for service to his parish.

Mike and Susan have been residents of Madison County since 1985 are the proud parents of two children, Ashley and Ryan.
