JACKSON — State Senator Will Longwitz received choice committee assignments today in the Mississsippi Senate. Lt. Gov. Tate Reeves today announced the makeup of the new committees during the legislative session today.
Longwitz will serve on:
- Business and Financial Institutions
- Constitution (Vice Chair)
- County Affairs
- Ethics
- Finance
- Insurance
- Judiciary A
“This is a tremendous honor, and I’m very excited to get started. Every one of these committees is extremely important to the people of District 25,” said Longwitz. “All I asked was that my workload reflect the makeup of this district, and that’s the case. In Madison, Ridgeland, Gluckstadt and Northeast Jackson, there is a strong presence for commercial and financial interests. This is a great chance to work for economic growth and for job creation. Lt. Gov. Reeves did a great job looking out for us, and I am very grateful for this opportunity.”
Longwitz continued: “I’m expecially excited about my vice chairmanship, where I can help protect and defend our state’s constitution.”
